Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026.
This policy explains what Dock & Door Dispatch collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose. It reflects the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), which gives Texas residents specific rights described below.
Who we are
Dock & Door Dispatch is a request-routing service for commercial door, loading dock, and gate repair in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We are not a contractor and we do not perform repairs. You can reach us at ops@dockdoordispatch.com.
What we collect
- Request details you provide: the equipment type and symptom, the service location (business name, address, city, ZIP), your name, email, phone, preferred contact method, and any notes.
- Photos you choose to upload of the equipment. We re-encode uploaded images, which strips embedded metadata such as GPS EXIF data.
- Consent records: whether you agreed to share your request with contractors, and the version of the consent text you saw, for our records.
- Limited technical data: a one-way hashed form of your IP address (for abuse prevention, not identification) and your browser user-agent string.
- Contractor applications: if you apply through the For Contractors page, the company and contact details you submit.
How we use it
We use your request to route it to independent local contractors, to send you a confirmation, to follow up about your request, to prevent spam and abuse, and to understand how the intake is working in aggregate. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
The core purpose of the service is sharing: when you submit a request and grant the sharing consent, we share your request and photos with independent local contractors who may contact you directly. Those contractors are separate businesses; once they contact you, your relationship — and any data you give them — is between you and them.
We also use a small number of service providers to operate the site (for example, hosting, database, email delivery, and file storage). They process data on our behalf under contract, not for their own purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use a privacy-respecting, cookieless approach to understand usage. We do not set advertising cookies, and we don't run third-party tracking scripts beyond what's needed to operate the site and its spam protection. Our internal funnel analytics use a random, per-session identifier stored only in your browser's session storage; it isn't a cookie and doesn't follow you across sites.
How long we keep it
We keep request data for as long as needed to route and follow up on it and to maintain reasonable business and audit records, and then we delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.
Your Texas privacy rights
Under the TDPSA, Texas residents may request to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access it; to correct inaccuracies; to delete personal data we hold about you; to obtain a portable copy; and to appeal a decision. You won't be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, use our privacy request page or email ops@dockdoordispatch.com. We'll respond within the timeframe the law provides and may need to verify your identity first. Note that a deletion request may cut off the routing of a request already in progress.
Children
This is a business service and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
